The Mammoth Community Water District has installed recycled water pipelines from the wastewater treatment plant, located near the intersection of Meridian Boulevard and Highway 203, to several large turf areas within Town for irrigation purposes.
Purpose
The purpose of this project is to help conserve local potable water resources. The amount of potable water that will be made available to the community by this project is approximately 360 acre-feet per year, or the amount of water utilized by about 1,700 residential units each year.
Customers
The current customers being served by this project are the Sierra Star Golf Course and the Snowcreek Golf Course. Public parks and school playing fields may also be provided recycled water in the future.
