Indoor Rebates

Save water and money with MCWD’s rebate program. Rebates are available to property owner(s) within the Mammoth Community Water District service area. We are currently offering rebates on toilets, dishwashers and clothes washers. Replacing old appliances and fixtures with new water efficient ones is an easy way to incorporate water savings in your daily life.

In order to receive a rebate, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Submit Application prior to, or within, two months of the old appliance disposal
  2. Receive confirmation of eligibility for the rebate program
  3. Purchase and install fixture, and properly dispose of old fixture
  4. Submit purchase and disposal receipts (within two months of the disposal)
  5. Get paid

* We strongly recommend confirming eligibility for rebates prior to purchasing new appliance/fixture.

Toilets & Urinals 

Toilets and Flushing Urinals must be WaterSense labeled. Rebates are up to $200 per toilet for the first two toilets/urinals in a unit, additional toilets/urinals are eligible for a rebate up to $100. Existing Toilets using 1.28 gallons per flush or less are not eligible for replacement under this program. Flushometer Valves do not qualify.

Clothes Washer Rebates 

Replacing your older clothes washer with a new high-efficiency model is an easy way to save money and conserve water. Saving water will save you money, and you may qualify for a rebate.  

Eligible washers must be Energy Star certified. Rebate is up to $400.

Dishwasher Rebates 

Eligible washers must be Energy Star certified. Rebate is up to $200.

 

Rebate FAQs

I have already purchased a qualified fixture, but have not submitted an application. Can I still receive a rebate? 

Yes, the date of invoice/receipt for fixture(s) must be within 2 months from when MCWD receives application. 

Will my rebate be taxable? 

MCWD will not issue an IRS Form 1099, but customers should consider the rebate when completing taxes.  The determination of whether your rebate is taxable or not may depend on several variables. You are recommended to contact your tax professional.

I live in an apartment complex/condo and do not receive a water bill. Can I still apply? 

Yes, customers who live in multi-family dwellings or communities (such as apartments, condominiums, townhomes, homeowner’s associations, mobile home parks or areas managed by property management companies) may still apply for a residential rebate for their unit. Checks can only be issued to the property owner.
